Bad Robot (GGJ 2026)

This is a game about masking. Play as a human in a robot costume infiltrating a robot factory, blending in the crowd to avoid being discovered by the evil Overseer.

This is a game about unmasking. Play as the best robot manager of the factory, and unmask the cunning human hiding amongst your ranks -- however many sacrifices is necessary to root out the Bad Robot! 

Entry for GGJ 2026 with the theme: Masks! Bad Robot placed 2nd place in both Audience's Choice and Judge's Choice.

Controls

Player 1 (The Overseer): 

• I - color test trap: eliminate deviants outside of one safe quadrant.
• J - traffic lights trap: freeze every robot at the signal of traffic light.
• L - saw blade: eliminate robots that are out of line.
• K - laser beam: press to prepare, press again to destroy the deviants.
• arrow keys - for controlling laser beam target.

Player 2 (The Imposter): 

• WASD - move the hidden
• Q - make your robot beep-boop, help you find out where you are
• E - after you scavenge some cogs from dead robots, throw them against the evil overlord!

General:

• Esc - Pause/resume, exit Controls screen.
• F11/Alt+Enter - Toggle fullscreen
